i have a 99 1.7 td ls diesel and it won't start i was told that it was the injection pump so i bought new one.
it still won't start bosch say pump is alright
the orange light in the shape of a radiator with a fan in it is constantly on
can anyone help

I have got the exact Astra van (99 1.7 td) with exactly the same problem.....
Did you get a resolve on that fault???

DOES IT TURN OVER OK, IF IT DOES, HAVE YOU DROPPED YOUR KEYS ON THE FLOOR AND LOST THE TRANSPONDER CHIP IN THE KEY, IF SO DISCONECT THE WIRES THAT GO TO YOUR DIESEL FILTER HOUSING , IT SHOULD BYPASS THE CODEING SYSTEM, WORTH A TRY.

Tried to unplug the lead to the diesel filter housing but it still does not want to start......any more ideas....

No pressure to injectors.....
Removed pipe/s at injector ends and turned engine.... no fuel at all out pipe......

I WILL DO SOME CHECKING 2MORROW AND GET BACK TO YOU, HAVE YOU CHECKED YOUR FUEL SHUT OFF SAFETY SWITCH, NOT SURE WHERE THEY ARE ON THAT MODEL, I WILL CHECK,
